Draught at Vancouver Craft Beer Week 2015
Hazy golden color. The aroma is a bit resiny and herbaceous. Smooth, with quite food pale malt flavor, moderately sweet, and a bit of hop quality. Correct bitterness.
Balanced, nice.

Refrigerated 12 oz. aluminum can poured into a weizen glass. Hazy orange with a little suspended yeast and small white head. Aroma is estery, medium/light body, medium /light carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is estery, oranges, some spice, and some hibiscus.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2014 Asheville - Late Nite session. Cheers! Pours clear amber with a frothy, tan head. Good stuff. Lots of bread, toffee, dates and plums. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Very nicely balanced in the finish, with more ripened fruits, toffee and bready malts. Hits the right notes.

Bottle. Amber, low head. Way too many wood chips, you only taste the barrel notes. Perfumed honeyish, granny with gunpowder aftertaste. Not my taste.

Golden color with white head. Aroma is rhum and sugar. Taste is rhum, rhum, and more sugar. Way too much Barrel, no beer behind it. Still a high carbonation. Crazy and overdone.

12 oz. can dated /01/2015 every can has the month unreadable. Tulip glass A: Brownish orange pour with a finger of thick foam that lasts a good few minutes. Good clarity with just a slight haze. Very little visible carbonation but pretty nice lacing left. S: Very light scent of tangerine on the nose. Not much pine or malt detected. Extremely light nose overall. T: Much more bitter on the tongue with pine coming in strongly. Much less citrus but some pith from mid to end sip. M: Good stiffness on the otherwise light body. Good level of carbonation to clean up the finish which is well attenuated with next to no resin left on the mouth. O: Clean, crisp drinkable SIPA with a powerful if one dimensional hop flavor. This is not an exceptional beer but well worth a try if you’re burned out on citrus hops. Mostly pine here though I prefer the juicy ones. Not bad at all. Points taken for shitty job of date coding leaves an overall grade of just barely average.

12oz bottle pours an oily black with some foamy tan head. Nose is weird, green bell pepper, mild coffee cherries, some wood pulp, dark chocolate. Flavor has dried cherries, raisins, some ancho, cinnamon, wood pulp, molasses. Full bodied, peppery finish.
