Pint can. Pours a hazy straw color with a large, persistent white head. Lots of thick sticky lacing throughout. Smells fresh with citrus, grass, and tropical fruits. Lightly sweet up front with a pleasant citrus and fruity transition into a moderate bitterness. Well balanced and refreshing.

16 oz can from Mac & Lindy's, 10/9/22. Fully hazed yellowish pour, strong white head. Pineapple, grapefruit, melon, and a bit of apricot. Lightly bitter, fairly juicy.

Undated can, freshly acquired from 12 Percent, drunk 9/19/22. Clear, light peach. Small, off-white head showing low retention. Smells like a helles. Clean, with good mineral and light hopping alongside soft honey-like malt and a touch of vanilla. Peppery hop on the finish balances easily. No alcohol noted. Soft and malty with good attenuation and rich honey, sourdough and biscuit being balanced by liberal hopping that adds black pepper, fresh herbs and such with plentiful, spicy, lingering bitterness. Clean and well-presented flavors. Maybe a touch lighter-bodied, lower-malted than I'd prefer, but it's certainly a very nitpicky gripe.

12 Percent draught, 9/16/22. Heavily hazy, very pale golden-white grapefruit. Small, poorly retained, white head. Heavily sulfur-forward Riwaka balanced with juicy citra. Crusty/crackery, supportive malts and a clean yeast. Juicy, mineral-heavy, white wine-like, no resin. Very dry, cracker-forward with low but ample bitterness and a bit of chewy malt lingering. Sulfur and such, various mineral, light lemon and unripe orange. Very drinkable and balanced.

Can (5/2/22) pour. It's an opaque milky yellow with nice sparkle, 4-finger white foamy head with excellent retention and soapy splotches lacing. Aroma is strong citrus zest, tropical fruit and late pine. Taste is as aroma with mild herb and background biscuit. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation, mild esophageal heat, and crisp finish as taste. Overall, this gets the best out of Simcoe. Quite nice all around.
