Description
Op zijn zeventiende vertrok Ramses Snoeij naar zijn vader in Amerika. Rond 1990 werd daar het eerste Ramses Bier gebrouwen in Oregon, aan de westkust van de Verenigde Staten. Na zijn terugkeer in Nederland koos hij in 2007 ervoor zijn brouwhobby commercieel aan te pakken. Zijn eerste commerciële brouwsel was Willem Bever dat in 2007 werd geïntroduceerd. De bieren van Ramses Bier werden aanvankelijk gebrouwen met behulp van de brouwfaciliteiten van Bierbrouwerij De 3 Horne in Kaatsheuvel. Hier werden brouwsels gebrouwen van 700-800 liter. De proefbrouwsels werden in Wagenberg gebrouwen en hadden een volume van 50-60 liter. In februari 2013 werd een eigen bedrijfsruimte opgeleverd met een nieuwe brouwinstallatie die een brouwcapaciteit van 1.500 liter heeft.

Bottle. Hazy dark yellow with giant foamy white head. Aroma is malt, citrus, fruit and yeast. Flavour is malt, citrus, fruit, caramel, medium sweet, hops and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Huge head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are flowers, hops, crisp clean malt and notes of fruits.

Bottle @ Autumn Tasting, Ulfborg 2011. Pours cloudy amber with a small white head and lacings. Nose is yeast, dust and berries. Flavor is yeast, caramel, dust, soapy hops and bread. Medium bodied. Dry end.

Bottled. An unclear dark yellow beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of straw, stale water, and malt. The flavor is malt, stale water, wet hay, and herb, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a lacing white head. Horrible farty aroma maybe atop a little citric fruitiness. Thin body, yeasty and fruity with all sort of horrible tangs. Bitter, rough finish. All wrong. 290911

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is spiced and light hoppy herbal. Bitter, subdued fruity and light herbal. Ends dry, bitter and crisp hoppy into a bone dry finish.
