Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow / golden color, large off-white head. Decent smell and a very nice taste for a tripel, sweet, lightly hops and bitterness. Nice mouthfeel.

Bottled@The Chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011 "Donkey Dork Lord Edition". Amber to dark brown colour with a small beigeish brown coloured head. Aroma is fruits, some ashes, toffee, spices and mild notes of caramel. Flavour is quite much the same along with some mild yeastyness.

Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours dark brown-red, with a thin foamy white head. The nose is caramel, nut, toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, dark cherry and varnish. The taste is sweet caramel, dark cherry, toasted sesame seed, varnish, nut, toffee, vanilla and chocolate, with a dry-roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent.

Bottle at Chris O’s pre GBBF shindig. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Creamy vanilla nose with a little butterscotch. Vanilla and milk chocolate flavour. Malty, sweet finish. Interesting.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours ruby-brown with a foamy head. Sweet and spicy nose. Sweet flavor, light roastiness, more spices. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, light mocha, floral spices, mild lingering roast. A nice tweak on the style here.

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Poured a darkish orange colour with a large but dissipating off white head. Some fragrant hop, sweet malt and summer fruit present in the nose but relatively subdued. Sweetish slightly thin flavour that needs slightly more assertive hoppage. Drinkable but unfortunately doesn’t quite hit its stride.

Tasted this beer at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2011. Cloudy, hazy light brown color, small beige head. Don’t really like the smell, bit spicy or herbal to me. Firm carbo and body are nice though.[6-3-7-4-13/3.3] Re-rate at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda 2012: Hazy dark orange color, small off-white color. Smell malts, sweet, hops. Taste lightly malty, hops, bitter. Very easy drinkable, good balance. Medium body. Definitely better than last year.

Bottle 330ml. @ home on the terrace.Light light unclear medium amber orange colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, passion fruit, orange - citrus, dry grass. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry grass, hoppy, fruity, dark citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110726]
