Nice red colored beer. Smells nice but smell also something weird in the background. Hoppy, bitter taste and nice bitter finish. Medium body, medium carbonation.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark roasted, caramel, dusty coffee - dark roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark roasted, burnt malt - caramel, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation looks flat but feels fizzy in mouth. bottle at home ... deep black ... huge big bubbly tan head ... soft roast ... hint of sourness ... nose ... light fizzyness ... soft roastmalt ... light bitterness ... herbal limit ... its all a little odd.

Small, fast disappearing head. Light brown color. Smell and taste are decent but I detect some spices or herbs and I don’t like it. Also low body, bit watery. Expected something better.

Re-rate from bottle @ home 5-5-’12. Hazy yellow/orange color, avergae sized off-white head. Smell malts, lightly hops and light sweet. Taste malts, lightly hops, a bit sweet but pretty fresh. Nice with dinner. Medium carbo, low to medium body. [original rating: 7-3-5-2-12=2.9]

Draught @ TBF ’11. Smells a bit like candy-sweets, nuts, caramel. Tastes accordingly, quite roasty, chocolate notes. Very full body. Not your typical abbey dubbel. More like a combination between a dubbel and a stout. I liked it.

Draught @ TBF ’11. Light yellow, hazy colour. Smells pretty nice. It’s a bit like a pilsner, but then a little bit more of a complex taste. Quite nice.

Dark brown color. Large bubbles in head. Smell roasted, coffee, chocolate. Lingering bitter roasted aftertaste. Nice carbonation and full body.
