Draft at Maloney's, 1/12/26. Clear gold, white head, strong lace. Almost sprite-like. Lemon-lime. Not a ton else. Light body. Tingly feel. Decent, but also weird and not at all what you are expecting from a Kolsch.

Can to becher pint glass.
Appearance: rugged amber/mahogany color with a two finger semi-rocky foamy to subtle bubbly head
Aroma: nutty, malty, toasty, subtle twang (not sure where that's coming from)
Flavor: mostly sweet through prior noted aromas, subtle nutty/malty twang aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, fairly sessionable, that weird 'twang' though, hmmmm....well, it's not too distracting, quick nutty finish
Overall: part of me things the 'twang' character may have been intentional as older red ales have had this brewed into them and OEC is recreating to reminisce perhaps but then again I could be wrong. I believe I could come back to this, maybe with some food.

From Beer Drop, code on bottom of the can makes no sense.
Pours a mostly clear pale gold with very good foam, retention and lacing.
Smell is orange zest, coriander, with cloves in the background.
Taste is orange zest, cloves, coriander, citrus, somewhat spicy from the grains of paradise.
Very good mouthfeel, I would drink this again.

16 oz can. Black in color with long persistent foamy head. Aroma shows a healthy amount of Pineneedles. Flavor shows roasted malt, soft mineral, and moderate pine and earthy tones. Body is medium plus with a very soft herb bitterness. This works well overall.

16 oz can. Reddish brown in color. Aroma shows me rye grain, bread, mild spice. Flavor is an exact rendition of the aroma. There was a slight over carbonation problem, but everything tastes good. Light crisp, dry texture.
