Tap at Leidse Lente, Leiden: Hazy amber coloured brew with an dry bitter taste, hints of grapefruit and slightly caramel. Actually I saw today a lot of the great crested grebe on the water today, so is appropriate ti drink this. The great crested grebe is called in Dutch fuut.

0.33 l bottle from 'Mr. Hop', best before September 2026. Very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty and a bit fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and traces of orange. Slightly sweet, quite roasty-bitter, a bit fruity taste of caramel, dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee and light orange, followed by a short, fairly roasty-bitter finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very little orange, way too roasty for the style and abv, not that great.

Can 33cl. from AH XL Muiden @home poured into a shaker. Hazy straw colour, tall frothy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma pale malt, grapefruit, tangerine, piney hops. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grapefruit, stone fruit, pine resin. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, light spicy notes, nice.
