Pitted yellow-cream head over clear reddish mahogany beer; rings of lace. Tarr, bark, wood, liquorice, shoepolish spices, roasted nuts and dito coffee. Coffee, roast, bit meaty even. Main taste is sweet(er), but the finish again bitter, nearly harsh, and again woody. Medium bodied, bit raw impression yet smooth texture; medium carbonation. Not bad - better even: original.
