Slightly unfiltered, mildly hazed, golden colour with an orange hue, a bubbly off-white head, decent stay and some soapy lacing spots. Some fresh lime juice aromas with herbal notes and hints of vanilla, candy. The taste starts off mild, but some good citrus zest kicks in. Lemon peel with a very light orange juice in the background. The zest creates a bitter, drying feel. A nice, light Cold IPA that still packs a punch, other than the thinner mouthfeel.

Fairly clean, reddish with a pink hue, a fizzy pinkish head that does not stay long, nor leaving any lacing. Big fruity aromas with the blueberries, hints of cranberries, all blended with hints of vanilla, sourness and saltiness. The taste is a touch more mineral, with the fruits, sour notes and saltiness in the background. An easy, milder, fruity brew.

Beautiful, fresh herbal aromas from the start. A very slight haze, light golden colour with a bubbly white cap, decent stay, and some mild lacing spots left. Again, really nice, fresh herbs in the taste, adding so much more to the regular cereal lager malt base. Some Pilsner malt spiciness does linger. Quite a good, interesting Pils-lager with Juniper Berries, Sage and Sweet Gale.

Feel almost bad rating this since it was first frozen, distorting the can, then battered by long rail and plane journeys! Amber with a foamy head. Aroma promises caramel with orange peel overtones. Taste is bittersweet, with a citric bitterness nicely balanced by the caramel malt underneath. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, good chewiness. A buy again even after all that battering.

(Can) Pours hazy deep amber brown with tiny head. Aroma with notes of toffee, tea and grass and hints of seaweed. Medium body with bright carbonation. Nice taste with a restrained toffee sweetness and some gentle bitterness very nice, easy drinking bitter.

(Can) Pours slightly hazy pale golden with tiny white head. Aroma of grain with notes of grass. Light body with bright carbonation. Good taste with balance between malt and hops. There’s some light caramel sweetness and some nice grassy hop bitterness. Very nice.

Profil olfactif majoritairement houblonné avec une pointe d'alcool. Couleur ambrée et voilée avec une mousse très épaisse, crémeuse et persistante à souhait. En bouche, s'annonce un profil malté céréalier avec notes boisées assez présentes. Le corps est plus léger que la normale pour ce type de bière. Les houblons sont résineux et terreux; probablement un mélange Anglais et Américain. Les malts sont très peu sucrés et on déplore l'absence de notes caramélisées. Les notes de boisé de la barrique sont intéressantes et apportent une contribution à la complexité déjà un peu déficiente. Un Barley Wine plus boisé que caramélisé avec un houblonnage moins complexe que souhaité. O:7.35 V:3.8 G:7.05 C:2.85 G:14.9 T:35.95

Un nez épicé et fruité avec des notes de poivre, de mandarine ainsi qu’un fond céréalier aux accents de seigle. La mousse bien épaisse et rocailleuse couronne le liquide doré pale tout à fait limpide. Piquante à l’entrée de bouche, elle se veut épicée et légèrement céréalière en bouche. Des notes d’agrumes citronnées et orangées. Une base céréalière relevant un fond de seigle. Les houblons sont herbacés et épicés tout en présentant un subtil fond de résine. Les houblons sont très bien représentés et bien agencés. Appréciation moyenne mais les critères du style y sont bien respectés. O:7.68 V:4.0 G:8.85 C:4.0 G:14.15 T:38.68

(473ml can shared by a friend) Poured a lightly hazed deep purplish pink with a whitish head. Light but definitely identifiably black currant fruitiness with a red berry and vinous quality matched with prominent tannin, base flavours of a dry cereal-inflected golden ale, a bit yeasty, rather dry and lightly tart, short mineral finish. Light bodied, above average carbonation. Certainly decent if not anything more.
