Bottle, 22oz, kindly shared by bergstaden. A close to black beer capped by a finger-thick, dense off-white to light beige head. Some lacing. The aroma has roasted malts, dark chocolate, some caramel, hints of coffee and a good dash of bourbon and vanilla. Roasted malts, brown sugar, dark chocolate, some caramel and salt and a touch of vanilla and bourbon. Full body and a soft carbonation. Perhaps lacking a bit on sweetness. Long finish. Quite nice, but a bit gentle I think. 190929

12oz can. Chunky brown body. Thick, large, beige head. A rather nice Brown Ale. The low ABV might be true-ish for an English version, but this is an American example, and it comes off a little watery. Overall a pretty good beer, but lacks a certain something. A nice addition to the Anderson Valley line up.
