On tap at the brewpub. Dark golden to amber coloured, small off-white head, wheaty fruity nose with whiff of caramel. The taste is basicly the same; wheaty, light caramel and fruity (banana and mild peach) with touch of spices in the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Almost black coloured, small beige head, sweet caramel nose. Toasted malt, caramel, milk chocolate and mild nutty with rather dry sweetish finish. Pretty ordinary but drinkable.

Clear brown. Enjoyed cold. Aroma is lebkuchen, dough, cinnamon, clove, orange, chocolate, sugar icing. Taste is intense sweet with some anise spicyness. Strange but somehow works. A bit too spicy for me. Still a worthwhile experiment.

Bottle. Unclear brown-amber color with small head that goes down quickly. Aroma is cinnamon, kardamom, allspice, cloves, vanilla, everything there. Taste is all the christmas spices, light berries, caramel. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not as bad as expected in cold condition, but of course quite cloying.

Bottle. Hazy brown, low offwhite head. Strong cinnamon, vanilla, light wood, a hint DMS nose. Quite sweet, sugary, xmas spices, light nutty Bock base, somewhat oxidized. Sweet sugary aftertaste.

Draught (Brewpub, Nuremberg) - 2018 vintage. Hazy orange in colour. Herbal and hoppy aroma with notes of orange, tangerine, spice and thyme. Nicely balanced taste with fruity and herbal hops combining nicely with the malts. Notes of citrus, grass and earth can be detected.

Draught (Brewpub, Nuremberg) - Very dark brown with some red tinges. Roasted aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee. Subtle yet noticeably roasted tasted with coffee, chocolate, malt and berries. Tasty.
