13th February 2016 Thanks to my in-laws for this one! Bright clear gold - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and is finely crisp. Thin malts bring a mild tangy caramel, not that sweet. Ripe fruits in to a very mild floral bitterness. Light dry finish. Entertaining. 3.2

Clear amber beer, decent cream colour head. Airy palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Pleasingly bready malts, a little malts cream and modest caramel. Whisper of estery sweetness before some mellow citrus and spice, Goldings like bring things to a close. Gimmick beers from a marketing point of view but they are put together by brewers who know what they are doing. Traditional but really rather nice.

500ml Bottle: BBE Nov 16. Poured into a UK pint glass at home on 20th Feb 16. Clear orange/golden body, head left before it arrived. Light malty nose and taste with a slight orange like flavour mid-sip. Nasty metallic twang in the finish, not good.

500ml bottle: BBE Nov 16. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 18th Jan 16. My third beer in a mini-session and rating tasting with myself. Clear light golden body, on top a wisp and collar, no head. Light malty nose which led to a semi-sweet Pale malt flavour, caramel and molasses take over the taste and even the finish feels sweet. One dimensional and uninteresting, even though I prefer the maltier, sweeter beers generally.

500ml bottle into an Abbot Ale badged glass tankard at home on 7th Jan 2016. A reward to myself for taking the dog our for an hours walk. Decent dark brown coloured body, the head lightly tanned and full. Malts and liquorice in the nose and taste, some rich red fruitiness within the flavour. I liked the semi-sweetness in the initial taste and the light bitterness in the finish. A lot, lot better than I expected from this beer.

500ml bottle into a Batemans badged pint sleeve at home on 6th Jan 2016. Very pale, lager like in fact, thin white wispy head, also lager like! Aroma is a blend of hops and light malts, as is the taste. Easy to drink and refreshing, no real depth or deep flavour, but a decent session ale and better than some of this breweries ’gimmick’ named beers.

500ml bottle: BBE May 16. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 5th Jan 16 after taking the dog for an hours walk: this is my reward to myself. Light amber to gold in body colour, clean and clear: on top a thin white covering that faded quickly to a wisp and collar. Hop lead in both the aroma and taste, fairly sweet aftertaste and highly carbonated, even if the head refused to hang around too long.
