Pours orange, slightly on the darker side, a hint of haziness. Forms more head than usual per style, settles to about one finger, fades later than usual, no lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: a rather soft, half dough-like, half wet/sweaty aroma, with light apple and lighter citric notes, a bit of prickliness, perhaps the slightest hint of vinegar; suggesting mild sourness. And indeed not very sour in taste, though maybe more than the smell suggested. A touch of soft lactic sourness, citric notes (i get mainly lemon) along with a quite vivid green apple note, maybe the slightest vinegar hint, a hint of prickliness/spiciness; mild funkiness with just a hint of sweat. Everything feels rather subdued, lacks character. Light to medium bodied, average to slightly below average carbonation. As the head suggested, more carbonated than usual for the style; not sure if it fits though. An ok but unimpressive gueuze.

750ml bottle at share. Hazy pale golden pour, fizzy head. Yeasty, funky aroma, wood barrel, floral, fruity. Taste is yeasty funky, sweet, cheese, with a little tartness.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium off-white head. Aroma brings out a nice barnyard funk, citrus zest, and a touch of hay. Flavour is fairly citrusy, with gentle hay, earthy farmhouse notes, and dry bready notes. Though the nose is nicely funky, the flavour is much flatter and more citrusy than anything. It's good but far from a high calibre gueuze.

Orange colour, bubbles, tiny head. Very earthy aroma, some tartness. Light-bodied. Crisp, tart, some dry fruityness, funky, very earthy, even cellary. This is a bit too earthy for me.

Bottle, 75cl from DeKoninck Buizingen. Best before 3 okt 2027 so bottled 3 okt 2022 and De Troch gives 5 years limited guarantee I presume? Can't believe it's from 2017... Color: Clear orange golden, off-white hrad. Aroma: Sweetish (for a Geuze), fruity notes,hay and funk hints. Taste: Smooth, quite sweetish for a Geuze, modearte tartness, fruity lemonjuice, gooseberry and some grape and green apple. Subtle funky, oak wood. Hints of hay. Dry -ish finish. Ok.

Max's bottle: pours golden with nonhead. Spoiled apple juice. Why did I do this. It is about as unpleasant as everyone says. I really should have looked up the reviews ahead of time. Ugh.

On tap at The Star & Garter, Bromley. Golden orange pour. Enough funk in the aroma to make James Brown proud, touch of orange rind. More tart than a Del Boy cast off. Very dry. Decent Lambic.
