Bottle bought online in Japan. Mostly raspberries in the nose, a bit jammy, a bit tart, some apple and skin, light tannins, saltine crackers. Medium watermelon pink with a bit of lace and a few bubbles. Sweeter than expected, raspberry, light apple, again something strangely grainy or crackery, light to medium acidity that doesn’t quite balance the sweetness, buy leaves a rather tart, slightly acidic finish. Light but tingly carbonation is just right. the apple character is there, just kind of hidden behind sweet raspberry.

Bottle. Clear amber pour with small head. Notable lacing. The aroma is yeast (slightly wild), farmer’s apples, minor caramel. Light to medium body. Dry taste. Tart farmhouse apples, red apples’ skin, white wine, additional caramel. On finish the tartness grows almost bitter. A little astringent. Ultimately fruity. Good.

Bottle at a work do in Bloomsbury lanes. A clear bright gold coloured pour with a fading fizz. Aroma is medium sweet apple, honeysuckle, simple sugars. Flavour is composed of sugary apple juice, little honey. Simple and easy going. Palate is medium sweet, sugary, moderate carbonation. A but sweet for me.
