Bottle from Northumberland Gifts. Yes a bit odd - big land mass gap between Northumberland and Cornwall but £28 for a 12 x 500ml mixed cider box is good value. This one pours a classic clear gold with some small bubbly foam. Aroma of lightly sour apple juice, some core and skin notes, sugar dusting. Fairly mellow but pleasant. Taste is sweet and moderately sour apple juice, tangy oily finish. It lacks some depth but its a session cider so that's fine. However I find the combination of sweet, tart and oiliness to be a bit sickly. Not a fan but I finished it ok.

Taste is tangy blackberries combining with a light sour apple juice, jammy and quite sweet but balanced. Good although lacking a bit of freshness to the fruitiness.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours a clear gold, brief fizz on top. Aroma of sour apple juice, wood, pear, light blossom. Taste of tart but sweet apple juice, musk, drying close. Smooth medium body. Good and tasty. Lacks a bit of character for a vintage though.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. This was my 7th different Cornish Orchard cider from a mixed box and it turned out to be by far the best so far. Clear gold to amber colour with some residual white foam on top. Aroma of apple cores, caramel, icing sugar. Taste is sweet fruity apple juice and core, caramel, some leather, slight tanginess and bitterness going towards a semi-dry finish. Nice balance to this.

Bottle. Dark golden or burnt amber if such a colour exist. Medium dry and rich with its apple, almost autumn spiced with its strength providing a lot of depth to the cider.

500ml bottle from Co Op, Barmouth. Reddish amber colour, bubbly white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of raspberry, hints of elderflower, sulphur. Taste is sweet, raspberry, cordial, blackberry, elderflower, with some citric tartness. Medium bodied, high carbonation, sweet berry finish. OK, very sweet.

Bottle from Sainsbury's Supermarket, Salford. Clear golden-orange in colour. Certainly dry, in taste and aftertaste, there's plenty of apple in here too, with its strength just about apparent.
