Description
110 years of Contreras in a 190 year old brewery. In 1818 Brewery Latte was founded as a typical farm-brewery. In the second half of the 19th century the company was led by Valère Latte who sold the brewery in 1898 to René Contreras. In 1920 René Contreras chose to sell his brewery to his nephew Marcel Contreras. it was Marcel who would transform the brewery into a modern 20th century company. He shaped the buildings as they currently still remain. In 1982 Marcel's son Willy became the sole manager of the brewery. At the start of the 21st century Ann Contreras, the only daughter of Willy Contreras, and her fiancée Frederik De Vrieze gradually took over the daily management of the brewery.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 16 Oct 2009) Dark reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with dried fruit (prunes and figs). Malty, spicy taste with notes of dried fruit, nutmeg, brown sugar and caramel. Decent spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, mainly dry. Nice and refreshing beer.

Draught @ Akkurat. Nice redbrown color with creamy head. Anonymous aroma. Taste of fruit and chocolate with a hoppy touch.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with some hints of citrus. Fruity malty spicy flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with some hints of caramel. Fruity malty spicy flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Bottle @ Vilvordia Bierproef Festival, Jette, Brussels. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty and slighlty floral hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter flavor with some yeasty hints. Has a dry malty hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is pale golden. Aroma and taste are yeast, fruits, alcohol, malt and citrus.

oro scarico buona schiuma ma grossolona e discreta persitenza mote leggermente maltate che sovrastano l’ebaceeo del lupplo in bocca un po di cereale maltato discreto finale leggeremnte erbaceeo ma non molto amara

Draught@The White Horse, Parsons Green. Golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruits, hrassy hops, mild wood and some earth. Flavour is quite much the same along with some slight spicy yeastyness. Quite clean.

Bottle in belgium ... light golden ... light hoppy nose ... dry fruity hop ... soft foaming ... light yeast ... soft frutis little pink grapefruit.
