Description
110 years of Contreras in a 190 year old brewery. In 1818 Brewery Latte was founded as a typical farm-brewery. In the second half of the 19th century the company was led by Valère Latte who sold the brewery in 1898 to René Contreras. In 1920 René Contreras chose to sell his brewery to his nephew Marcel Contreras. it was Marcel who would transform the brewery into a modern 20th century company. He shaped the buildings as they currently still remain. In 1982 Marcel's son Willy became the sole manager of the brewery. At the start of the 21st century Ann Contreras, the only daughter of Willy Contreras, and her fiancée Frederik De Vrieze gradually took over the daily management of the brewery.

Thuis uit een flesje. Goudgele kleur, dik wit schuim, mooi. Een prima bier, maar doet mij niet aan een ipa denken. Eerder een stevig vol pils. Blond bier. Smaak is goed.

Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Slightly cloudy orange amber colour with white frothy head. Aroma is very fruity, sweet orange, lemon, touch of stinky b.o. hops. Taste is fruity to start with and bitter at the end. Touch of sherberty sweetness. Nice texture and good sweet and bitter combination. Very drinkable.
