Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin. Yep, it gushed. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. Lots of damp earth in the nose, some cocoa, rotting wood, light roast, some dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor with a little burnt plastic, earth, brownies, bitter cocoa. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Dry finish, lightly warming, more bittersweet cocoa, earth, wood. Interesting stuff, but doesn’t work overall for me.

75cl bottle from abcbeers shared in the train. Almost a gusher but I put it in the fridge for 2 days. Thick off white head. Clear deep burgundy pour.

Bottle thanks to Deanso. Very dark brown with big but short lasting off white head. Lots of caramel, roasted malts, marzipan, quite some North African spices, dried red fruits, cake. Quite sweet with soft roasted bitter finish. Over medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Decent.

Bottle at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015, Ulfborg. Pours hazy dark brown with a large tan head. Aroma of light fruits, malt, caramel, licorice, dark fruits and light dough. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a warm alcohol finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Bottle, 11%. Very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, caramel and a little chocolate. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, caramel, medium sweet, liquorice, medium sweet, alcohol, warming, harsh and a little bitter.

Leicht erhöht karbonisierter, glücklicherweise nicht zu süßer Antrunk von dunklem Getreide, süßlichem Kaffee, leichter Herbe. Schokoladiger im Mittelteil, würzig, das Bier scheint dennoch hinter seinen Möglichkeiten zurückzubleiben. 11/9/8/9/11/9

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. 280815

Sampled @ Danish Summer Gathering 2015 Trübes dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit einer fingerbreiten beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, karamellig, Zucker, reifes Obst. Geschmack nach reifem Obst, dunklem Malz, Karamell, leicht alkoholisch.
