The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a fresh, crisp, juicy mango passionfruit, mineral, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso viene attratto dalla frutta tropicale. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è apprezzabile. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma non molto persistente. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido è di consistenza limpida e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è carico. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di amaro. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, agrumi, pompelmo, mango e frutto frutto della passione.

Can from Beer52. This one is also at 4.2% but contract brewed at Fourpure. Light hazed gold with small white head. Aroma of citrus, underripe mango, pine, pepper. There is a bitter fruit rind, lighter tropical, pine and pepperiness to this. Nice balance. Semi-drying, near mid-bodied, fine carbonation, easy drinking. Enjoyable.

On tap at Boardriders, Coolangatta. Cloudy amber beer with a thin white head. Light malt nose. Crisp, bitter cleansing. Very easy to drink with a nice fresh finish. Unusual uplifting finish with a hint of mint and fruit. Very nice pale ale.

On ne peut pas dire que je sois le plus grand amateur du style, mais cette 4 Pines passe facilement avec une complexité très honorable. Elle fait le job en tout cas. Le visuel est sur un blond légèrement voilé avec une très fine effervescence et une mousse blanche ne nappant pas toute la surface. Le nez est sur le pain, la coriandre et le poivre avec une touche de miel et d'écorce d'orange. En bouche, c'est plaisant, légèrement salé naturellement et avec une acidité pas trop marquée. Les arômes sont très plaisants, on retrouve une palette semblable à des bières belges avec de surcroît une complexité honorable. L'arrière bouche est un peu plus acide sans l'être de trop. Le final manque peut-être quelque peu d'expression pour une bière qui reste plaisante.

Pas de quoi dynamiter votre palais avec cette nitro stout qui manque nettement d'intensité et de corpulence. C'est un stout très gentillet que nous propose la brasserie 4 Pines. En verre nous sommes sur une robe noire, parcourue pas une faible effervescence et sans mousse. Au nez, si les arômes de café et chocolats sont plaisants, ils restent toutefois simples. En bouche toutefois, cela est décevant avec une faible intensité et densité dès l'attaque. L'ensemble est plat et sans réel dynamisme. La longueur présente de surcroit des arômes torréfiés qui s'estompent pour laisse place à une amertume relativement neutre. Très moyen.
