XT Brewing
Microbrewery
in Long Crendon,
Buckinghamshire,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: XT Brewery
Established in 2011
We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.
The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

Cask at Plough, Oxford – as Session Amber. Served too cold, so a rerate may be required. Pours a cloudy red-amber with a large white head. Nose is mainly caramel. The taste is mainly summer fruits, but the caramel is still there as are hints of grains and hops. The finish is bitter, with strong grapefruit leanings. It wasn’t too bad until the finish !

Half-pint by cask at Post Office Vaults. Shared with Finn. A beige head covering a near-black body, scattered lacing. Slightly roasted, earthy malts on the nose, inviting. Flavoured with grainy chocolate and dried fruits. Smoothly roasted ending. Pleasing porter. (Birmingham 04.02.2020).
