Keg at the White Hart, 29/01/15. Clear golden orange with a well appointed off white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, grain, toasted bread, melon, citric notes. Taste comprises light caramel note, pale malt, orange, straw, melon, touch of bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smei drying close. Inoffensive GB but a little on the dull side.

Mother Kelly’s. Keg. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but a very fine carbonation providing a trailing nip. A nice mellow floral tang here, not really sour. Great touch of mild lemon. A mild floral fruity thing going on that appears to be whisky derived. It all rides on a smooth malt base. Light orange peel, little fresh orange and mild spice. Finishes smooth with a slight minty coolness. Intriguing and very drinkable.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours black-brown with a dense, lasting beige cream head. The aroma has well toasted malts and baking cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with accents of jammy dark fruits, bittersweet chocolate, scorched earth, raisins. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Ashy roast on the finish with prominent baking cocoa character, minimal heat, some additional dried dark fruits, mellow alcohol kick. Not bad.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours clear gold with a minimal white foam head. The nose holds notes of grainy malts, green pepper, fusels. Light sweet flavor with vague notes of citrus, grains, wheat, hay, leaves, veggies and peppers. Light to medium bodied, softly carbonated. Moderate sweetness to finish with some gummy fruits, orange, damp grains. Not excellent.

Keg at the brewpub. It pours hazy amber with minimal head. The nose is very earthy, wheat, bready, oatcake, cereak, grain, spice and mild banana. The taste is toasty brown bread, cereal, earth, toast, wood, drying, banana bread, mild acidity and oatcake with a dry, cereal-led finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not a whole lot of depth to it. Doesn’t do too much for me.

Keg at the brewery. It pours clear golden amber with a small white head. The nose is doughy, clove, bitter-sweet, banana bread, white grape, apple juice and mild acetic. The taste is bitter, grassy, unripe banana, spice, pepper, clove, orange peel and light tartness with a dryish finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Tastes infected to me. Flat and tart. Meh.
