Description
Beer has been brewed on the same site in Southwold for at least 670 years. In 1872 George and Ernest Adnams started Adnams Brewery. Our long history gives us firm foundations and we look forward to an exciting and sustainable future.

Adnams - we’re like a big breath of fresh, sea air. We make amazing beers and spirits from grain-to-glass in our coastal home of Southwold. Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasty with dark bread, caramel, notes of chocolate and a little coffee. Flavour is moderate to medium bitter and mild sweet. Light to medium body.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Malty aroma with notes of caramel and nuts, toasted malt, leaves, fruit. Flavour is moderate bitter with a little sweetness and a light body. Pretty drinkable.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of nuts, dark fruits, berries, caramel and a hint of banana. Not really getting the pineapple and grapefruit mentioned in the description. Dry roasted malts come through. Initial carbonation relaxes later on. Not bad.

Cask at The Nelson pre Ipswich v Sheffield Wednesday. Aroma is malty, hoppy, citrus with a touch of grass. Taste is good with citrus, malty bitterness. Nice.

Cask at the Nelson prior to yet another Ipswich defeat. Aroma of raspberry, malts and caramel. Taste is of toffee, raspberry and other winter berries. Very smooth with a slightly bitter finish. Not bad.

Half pint from the cask at The Ship Centurion, Whitstable. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, toffee, hops & malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Hazy amber. Aroma is noble hops grassy hops light fruit lemon light bread. Taste is slightly sweet with nice bitter hop profile with lots of grass. A bit rough but still quite enjoyable with a long herbal finish. Easy on the tongue.
