15/2/2025. Bottle at the ITFC vintage and rare Saturday share part 2. From Boxbeers. 2017 Vintage. Pours clear very dark brown with a few bubbles. Aroma is woody, caramel, dried fruits, chocolate, whisky, brown sugar, touch of cheery, boozy notes. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness, quite drying, slight tart edge. Medium body, soft carbonation. Liked it.

Bottiglia.

0.5l Can @ 4.1ABV.
Pours a clear dark copper. Scent is intense, typical English malts, bit toasty, coockie dough, whiff of caramel. Quite nice ! Taste is more bitter than expected, and more bitter than other bitter's i've had - but still very balanced and smooth, giving room to the malts to shine brightly. All the same as the aroma's, with additional earthy aroma's from the hop (very mild) as well as a touch of 'green' herbal hoppy notes. Toasty, medium bitter finish. Easy drinkability, with medium low to medium carbo. Very enjoyable !

Bottle from a local supermarket. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, a light grassy hoppy touch with a hint of fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Body is light to medium. Not as hoppy as I'd hoped for, but certainly drinkable Pils.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Malty aroma with floral hops, perfume, caramel toffee, apples, soft fruits. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Hmmm, not very tasty, quite malty with floral perfumed hops and an overall filtered to death macro character. Pretty useless as an IPA.
