On tap@the brewery. Slightly hazy pale golden body with a small, dense white head. Aroma is nice and fruity with citrus. Flavor is refreshing fruity with a gentle aromatic hoppy impression. Quite light body and a medium floral bitter finish. This is not a very complicated beer, and the name (Ale) indicates a non-pretentious beer. So that’s what it is, but a nice version of a quaffable thirst-quencher. It actually reminds me a lot about Brooklyn Lager, and thats not bad at all.

Re-rate @ Amundsen 2011.11.14. Hazy orange body with a big, creamy white head. Aroma is banana, yeast and bubblegum. Flavor is fruity, mild malty, wheat, banana, yeast, spices and bubblegum. Medium body. OK and rather medium/typical hefeweizen this time.
On tap@the brewery. Almost clear, very pale body with a thin white head. Didn’t look much like the picture at all. Aroma is very vague, only a hint of wheat/yeast – whatever. Flavor is fruity, slightly bitter ,quite refreshing but not very distinct in any way. More fruit than wheat flavor, this beer could almost be any other kind of light and pale ale. 3-2-4-3-6

Pours a clear golden colour with medium sized airy white head and mild fruity nose. Slight malty and hoppy aroma with notes of fruit. Bitterish finish. Drinkable but also a bit too watery.

The worst Kaslfaret beer. Hazy yellow coloured, small white head, stinky eggy nose. No wheat, no hops, no nothing. Just pure water with tiny hints of fruit.

Dark reddish/brown coloured, small pale beige head that went away very fast. Mild chocolate, caramel and chicory aroma with the same spicy notes that Bayer had. But Bayer is way better.

Pours a clear amber colour with small white head and toasted malt nose. Toasted malt and mild caramel taste with notes of some spices (maybe cinnamon). Rather watery palate.

400ml on tap at brew house in Bergen. Served at ambient drinking temperature and as the right companion to meat. Devil-black in colour with a rusty tint when hold up to the light. Brownish, low-level head. Smooth chocolate aroma with vague notes of cinnamon spiciness that also appear in the taste. Overall the flavours do not completely blossom out, but can be described as a blend of sweet, dark malts, ripe fruits and bitter hops with a note of yeast emerging towards the end. Well bodied, but may be a bit prematured (15.11.2007).

100ml draft from a 100ml tasting glass. According to the brewmaster the alcohol content is 4.5%. Filmy lacing layer over a slightly hazy, straw coloured body. Some late fruity sweetness and wheat in aroma and taste, but otherwise rather different from what you usual expect of a German Hefeweizen. Alright to drink, though (at the brew house in Bergen, 15.11.2007).

Sampled on tap from a very nice 100ml glass at the brew house (4.5%ABV). Filmy off-white head that left some great lacing on the glass. Deep mahogany body. Discreet notes of cocoa and spicies in the aroma. Roasted taste of chocolate followed by bitter dark fruits in the ending. Smooth on the swallow and easy to drink (15.11.2007).
