Description
At the Frome Brewing (previously Milk Street) Company we work with an extremely talented and knowledgeable team of brewers. We pride ourselves on producing the highest quality beers and we're not going to send anything out of our doors that we wouldn't want to drink ourselves. We do like to experiment - but more importantly, we're all about balancing delicate flavours to produce easy drinking beers.
In other words... "it's all about the beer!"
Brewing takes place up to five times a week, with malt from Warminster, hops from Charles Faram and our very own yeast. Our yeast, which is a similar strain to Youngs, is particularly versatile. Our beers are all vegan (but they're not gluten free).

@Griffin, Frome. Bright brassy colour. The aroma is accented towards caramel with a hint of wood. Sweetish, with slightly mushroomy notes. The finish is earthy - there is actually no bright amarillo goodness at all.

@ Griffin, Frome. Bright golden-amber with a thin head. Earthy aroma with a sweet, almost grapey accent. Poop on the palate with caramel, followed by a bit of earthy hop bitterness. A balanced, tasty pint.

@ Griffin, Frome. Light amber colour. Earthy, mushroomy aroma. Earthy palate with some berryish hop notes, balanced by slightly sweet, slightly nutty malts (probably a heritage variety). Excellent.

@ Griffin, Frome. Golden-straw colour. Earthy hop aroma with lemony accents and lots of fresh farm (poop). Very bitter body, with earthy notes, hints of mushrooms and cheshire cheese. Maybe some hay in there as well. Complex, tasty session bi

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. Pale gold in colour with a dense cream head; grapefruit aroma; flavours of citrus, dry biscuit and slightly musty straw; some grassy hops in there somewhere, but rather muddled; then a dry finish with a stale biscuit aftertaste.

Cask @ White Horse, Twerton. Amber-accented gold colour. The aroma is minerally, lightly caramelly and fairly earthy. The palate has a similar character, with a nice toastiness to the caramel malts.
