Description
At the Frome Brewing (previously Milk Street) Company we work with an extremely talented and knowledgeable team of brewers. We pride ourselves on producing the highest quality beers and we're not going to send anything out of our doors that we wouldn't want to drink ourselves. We do like to experiment - but more importantly, we're all about balancing delicate flavours to produce easy drinking beers.

In other words... "it's all about the beer!"

Brewing takes place up to five times a week, with malt from Warminster, hops from Charles Faram and our very own yeast. Our yeast, which is a similar strain to Youngs, is particularly versatile. Our beers are all vegan (but they're not gluten free).

Cask/Gravity at The Swan Beer Festival, Islip 05-10-07 Poured light amber no head. A flurry of pithy grapefruit but tempered with a honey sweetness. Not the most zappy interpretation of this hop in a beer but very drinkable and really rather pleasant.

Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 5/9/07. Amber coloured with a moderate off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops. Flavour had some fruity malt to start before the hops kicked in with a very long dry finish. The hops were over dominant for me. Ok.

Cask conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol 16/5/07. Clear gold with a light head that left plenty of lacing. Light aroma of floral hops followed by flavours of citrus and biscuity malt. Very subdued for a 5% beer and not a patch on the same brewery’s Nick’s Beer.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Slight haze, copper colour, thin off white head. Slightly crude alcohol, syrupy. No huge aroma. Some toffeeish citrus at a push. Citrus earthiness on end. Alcohol heat. Quite sharp on finish. Not my favourite.
