A thick, malty, tasty beer. Thoroughly enjoyable. Dark cooper/burgandy pour with small, off-white head. Nice aroma of sweet malts with notes of caramel and molasses and fruit, prune and fig. Some earthy notes as well. The flavor is mostly sweet with only a slight bitterness. The body if full and leaves a welcome sticky mouthfeel. Very little carbonation. Excellent.

On tap at Reading BF. Gold, thin white head. Good bock. Light, but with good malt, excellent crisp hop finish. Very drinkable, cold and lovely. 3.4 re rate bottle at Fuggles Cafe Tonbridge. Some sweet alcohol. Good bitterness on the finish. Good noble hop white flower white pepper finish. V. Drinkable.

Bottle bought at Reading BF. Golden coloured with a thin, white head. Whiff of hops in the aroma. Flavour was sweet with a cloying palate. This was dull, like an industrial super-strength lager.

500ml bottle at Man of Kent, Rochester. Pale gold colour with thin white head. Some niceish malt. Citrus noble hops are good too. Hops are pretty good on end, no pukey malt. Clean, crisp and rather good. One of the better Helles I?ve had. Crisp, but also some depth of flavour and feel as well. 3.4. Now one of my favourite all time lagers. Proper pilsner with good hop, so smooth and clear and clean in taste superb and I would always want a crate of this in my house.. 858417 4.2/5 On tap at Reading BF 2010, so fresh creamy, hoppy, I loved this. So clean and fresh and drinkable. Stunning. 4.3 rating Augustiner am dom Munich. After some stunning beers this evening thus still holds up. Still highly drinkable and that lemony lasting finish is outstanding. Bit sweet maybe. Knock a 0.1 off. Re rate Munich 2017 not as good as the Hell. Down to 4 from 4.2

Orange tinted beer, quite clear without the yeast that keeps clinging stubbornly to the bottom; and quite dense, collapsing, near-white head. Very strange initial nose: garden weeds, nettles maybe, and - cheese, but rather old, running, musty one... or muck? Then less shocking cloves/mint and fruity (but not exactly fresh fruit...) Faint fruity (oranges, banana) some cloves, some ham (smoked) and dry woody, but all very discreet. Finish is soft lemony. Light, on the verge of empty. Some wheat slickness. Strange Weizen. It is probably great for a sweltering Münchner Augustafternoon in a Bierkeller, but once out of that...

Bottle from Degarth, Thanks Joe! Nose of caramel, fig newtons, and sweetness; lightly hazed dark brown with a small beige head; flavor is molassey, with dark fruits, and roasty graininess. Decent dopplebock.

Bottle. Hazy yellow / orange color with large good lacing white frothy head. Aroma is moderate hoppy, citrus, grape, lemon, moderate yeasty, light banana. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, cabonation is soft to lively, finish is metalic.

Bottle: Poured a golden to light amber with a thick carbonated white head. Sweet rich malt aroma. The flavor was similair rich malt, but did finish with a nice fresh grainy taste.

"Augustiner Edelstoff Exportbier", bottled (BB 01/2007).
Golden color, small white head. Malty, grassy hoppy flavor. Quite typical German pils: grassy Saaz hoppy and malty. Clean Dortmunder, but not very interesting.
