Established in 2003
Back in 2003 we decided to go commercial with our latest creation, a Belgian Dark Strong Ale called “Pannepot”. Not with an own installation, for that we did not have the money yet, however, we proceeded as gipsy brewers. First at the Coulier Brewery and later at the nearby Deca Brewery in Woesten / Vleteren. In 2009, we moved to a school facility in the village of Oostvleteren, and where we’ve been brewing our beers independently since 2012.

CBF07 sample from 75 cL bottle, placed on the RB table by the crazy Belgian brewers who drove alle Saturday to come to Copenhagen with this treat, cheers! Pours hazy deep brown with a huge light brown head. Aroma is wineous, roasted malt, dried fruit, raisins mainly. Flavour is soft malty sweet. Strong fruity and complex profile, really lovely blend. Alcohol makes a short appearance. Slight smoked note and soft malty caramel with a strong alcohol note in the finish.

Bottle: Poured a orangish-red amber very thick and hazy, with a light thin white head. The aroma is citrusy and spicy to the nose. Taste is tangy fruit and sweet malt, finished dry with some alcohol tingle.

Short-lived white head, leaving pineapplejuice-coloured beer. Pineapple, a bit of horseblanket, cultivated parsley, a bit lactic. Lots of citrus, fatty acid esters, lactic acid, a bit of "wet mop" Wyeast Bruxellensis, ending a bit cheesy. Very citric, dry, with a tingling MF, not very well-bodied. Very remarkable beer. It might be beefed up a little bit in body, and some brewers suggest a serious trappist yeast for finishing... Thanks to Carlo & Urbain, and hooray!

33 cL bottle. Pours unfiltered/muddy brown with crispy wite head leaving a nice lacing. Aroma is yeasty, sweet caramel malt and berry fruity into a slight sour note. Classical belgian carbonation. Flavour is sweet caramel malt, berry sweet/sourness from the yeast and a slight bitterness into the finish from the hops. Otherwise is the finish more sweet than dry. Very pleasant, reminds me a lot about westvletern 6.

Bottle @ Københavnske Øldage 2007 in Copenhagen. [HUGE thanks to the Struise guys for making this happen] Hazy dark amber color with a average frothy fair lacing mostly diminshing beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate to heavy yeasty, very complex aroma of gum, wood, alcohol, vintage, oaky fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, very nice and good balance. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. One off the very best beers ;o)) Please give me more of this stuff, it is brilliant ;o))

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Cloudy dark brown, dense head. Intense arousing aroma of raspberry and wood. Earthy, soft and mild. There’s cherry and wood. Deep complex earthy buttery malt character. The oak barrel character is restrained, just adding complexity to an already complex beer. Instead it is driven by superb malt flavours and esters. Mild, soothing and fruity, Westvleteren 12 like, as I remember it from the first time I tried it. Ultrasuperb - one of the very best beers I’ve ever had the opportunity to try.
