Description

Huge beige creamy head very slowly subsides into weird ice cream shapes. Hazily opaque brown body with carbonation. Sweet firm malt aroma with harmonic licorice and hop notes. Taste is again sweet and acidic malts with notes of licorice, pepper, cane sugar, and hops. Some chocolate, paradise seeds, cinnamon, and wood as well. A bit watery. Extremely complex, and a bit rough, but still very nice. (0.33l bottle.)

75 cL bottle. Pours deep brown with huge brown head. Aroma is malty, yeasty and some hops. Complex malty taste with fruity tones, creamy texture. Surprisingly easy to drink despite how it looks and the ABV. Finish is rather sweet malty than bitter.

330ml bottle at The BrewPub in Copenhagen. The ale turned out to be a nice partner to Danish Sheep’s cheese served in the restaurant section. Copper body under a huge, beige head. Sweet fruity aroma. Light caramel taste offset by yeastiness in the finish. Fizzy and moderate mouthfeel (13.01.2007).

Enormous offwhite head over orange body. Delicate aroma of stale hops, metal, and tropical fruit. Taste is powerful tropical fruit overlaid with metallic, stale hops and spice. Dry, astringent spice aftertaste. Very difficult to characterize, and quite complex. Very unusual, but nice, with lots of character. (0.33l bottle.)

Bottled. Golden, slightly cloudy colour with huge creamy head. Aroma is citrusfruit, spices, caramel, alcohol and dough. Flavour is spices, wheat, slight alcohol and dough. Gets better while you drink and it gets a bit warmer. When warmer, it "smoothens" up abit. Pleasant.
