Description
For nearly twenty five years, our mission here at Smuttynose has remained the same: to brew the best beer we can in a way we can be proud of. That includes honoring New England’s rich beermaking history, respecting our environment, and playing an active role in our community.
We value creativity, quality, authenticity and sustainability, but it really boils down to making great beers to enjoy with friends and family. We hope you love drinking our beers as much as we love brewing them. Cheers!

Refrigerated pint can poured into a glass. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is sour lime, medium body, lower carbonation carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is sour lime.

Bottled. Weird pour and aroma but man this was good. The cloudy gold was hiding some citrus. It worked

Yellow cloudy pout from bottle . I guessed this was either a weak wheat ale or something else. It was OK but pretty meh overall.

Deep brown pour with lots of head. Nutty malt and bit of citrus. Clean piney tang with chocolate and coffee. Really good change of pace.

Draught from puck fair. Pours a clean gold. Aroma of grass. Well balanced and brilliantly executed. No bad flavors at all and a mild hop finish.

Draught at Rattle and Hum. Poured brown with mild head. First, let me just say wow. this was surprisingly bad. I mean really. It basically was this slightly sweet, very badly herbed up version of a doppelbock. Honestly I could not even finish it and I have finished some crap-ass beers in my time. As far as doppelbocks go - severely lacking. No malt or bread, just sick awful overripe figs or some other craptastic veg or fruit. Avoid like the plague. Bubonic style.
