Bottle to becher glass.
Appearance: amber color with a sly transparency about it; one finger white foamy head which slid off fairly quick and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: slightly like pomme-like fruity tones with a caramel/toffee maltiness and some wet grains
Flavor: does a decent job of combining the prior noted aromas to a fair malty sweet and bready-like quality; finishes somewhat caramel malty
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; smooth along the tongue
Overall: it's good with some tacos, I must say that which is when I come back to this one.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark amber color with a two finger white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: sweet wheat, candied dark fruits, some sort of blended rum to brandy-like whiff, caramel/toffee malts, light vanilla
Flavor: seems to combine the prior noted aromas to a very sweet quality; finishes sweet through dark fruits, boozy notes and sweet wheat
Texture: light to medium bodied, seeming to be a sipper despite it coming across as cloyingly sticky sweet but I always thought wheat wines are always cloying that's just how they are
Overall: I think I liked this one for me but if you don't like cloying beers, this might not be a style for you because as far as I know this style gets cloying and I have yet to find a brewer who doesn't brew this style not to be cloying.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: golden amber color, I think as it seems pretty muddled to an assortment of interpretation; one finger white foamy head which settled off at a nice pace to leave some light lace
Aroma: bready to dark fruits, sweet wheat, wet grains, some booziness and light toasted oakiness
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet dark fruity to boozy to oaky sweet quality; finishes dark fruity and sweet grain-like
Texture: medium to full bodied; good as a sipper; some smoothness but also some semi-higher carb noted
Overall: while I understand Biere De Gardes - I think good enough, sometimes I'm not exactly sure how well I do, probably best to say I think I liked this one for me and wouldn't mind trying some more to see if this higher carb thing is fine for the style or if this is a flaw or intentional by the brewer? There's things I guess I just don't know.

Appearance: dark mahogany to reddish brown color with a thin cap of a little eggshell white foamy head which dissipated kindly to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark fruits, Belgian sugars; Belgian yeast, subtle spiced apples, caramel/toffee malts, light booze and a little bit of chocolate tones
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to spicy quality; finishes dark fruity, subtle-apple-like and Belgian sweet
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning into being a sipper; some smoothness but also that "back-of-the-throat" grabby-like Belgian grip; light dryness
Overall: yes, I do believe this is a Belgian Dubbel and it does do well for a Winter beer on a cold Winter's night. I'd return to this.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: dark amber with a subtle violet hue to it and a one finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: blueberry tart and sweet character; subtle lemons, sweet funk and a light earthy sour quality, slight sweet wheat
Flavor: seems to copy the prior noted aromas to a subtle tart to sour to sweet sort of blend; finishes more like mixed berries with some lemon
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable: light smoothness but also some sour assertive character
Overall: I might not see this as a Berliner weisse, but somehow it came across well brewed for what they did. I wonder if this was changed to a fruit beer if it would get better marks? Hmmmm....

Appearance: deep amber to orange color with a one and a half fingers of white foamy head which tapered off gently to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy to grapefruity and lemony hops with a caramel/toffee maltiness, subtle tobacco note coming out with more warmth
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a bitter to bittersweet quality; finishes the same way
Texture: medium bodied - hmmmm, maybe a touch under; sessionable; some smoothness but also some hop aggression to the tongue
Overall: I kinda expected the hops to be aggressive to the tongue, possibly something that had to do with how I smelled this one but couldn't exactly pinpoint the correct words to describe that. Possibly could come back to this.

Aroma: light pineapples to mixed citrusy hop tones then a light grapefruity hop note; light malty notes
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fair bitter to bittersweet quality; finishes somewhat citrusy with some grapefruity hint
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; light smoothness and a little bit of hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: might be able to come back to this, it's pleasant enough.
