Sample at the taproom during Cincinnati Beer Week. The beer is a dark amber-mahogany color with a medium light beige head that recedes gradually. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Bourbon, roast malt and fruit in the nose. Medium-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, oaky bourbon and fruit. The finish is oaky with a malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the taproom during Cincinnati Beer Week. The beer is a clear pale golden color with a medium white head that recedes steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, roast malt and hops. Light-bodied with an herbal hops and mildly spicy rye malt character, with some citrus and creamy wheat in the background. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops and rye aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at Keystone during Cincinnati Beer Week. The beer pours a dark brown color with a medium beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of malt, spices and fruit. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, tart fruit, spices and a little chocolate. The finish is malty up front with a mildly tart fruit aftertaste. A little disjointed which probably shouldn’t be surprising considering the number of entities involved with its creation. Still a decent beer overall.

Can - Cinnamon, chocolate, hazelnut and some faint berry notes. Deep black with a rich beige head. Cinnamon, berry and toasted nuts. Odd but the berry and cinnamon clash to me.
