Dark brown pour with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate malt, nutty, light roasted malt. Flavor is that and a light hoppy bite on the finish. Really enjoyable malty brown with a light hop background. Good.

Clear gold with a white head. Nice citrus and grassy hops with a solid rye bite. The aroma is a tad sweeter than it tastes though there is some light malt sugars in the flavor, too. Finishes with a lingering bitterness. Thin bodied. Very refreshing. I’d have a few of these in a sitting.

In the can @ home, thanks to michcam for sending! Pours a clear golden orange appearance with an off white head. Aroma is fairly floral and herbal with some spice, toasted bread, and light citrus. Mouth feel is a little watery and thin. Low sweetness. Moderate high bitterness. Spicy malts, twangy, rye, and some pine. Bleh.

Can shared on the bus during RBWG 2015. Pours clear, deep brown with a foamy, off-white head. The nose holds light menthol, spices, cinnamon, dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor, with an interesting mix of dark malts, chocolate, dried dark fruits, subdued spices. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish, with more dried spices, bitter cocoa. Nice one.

Sample at Kraft House No. 5 during the MadTree Tap Takeover on 02/26/2015. The beer pours brownish-black with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and yeast. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and fruity yeast. The finish is malty up front with an earthy yeast aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Can (courtesy of DrSilverworm) pours with a dark mahogany body that support a thin tan head. The aroma offers up chocolate, cinnamon, some black licorice and toasted bread and dark roasted malts. The taste delivers dark roasted, cinnamon, an odd tart lightly sour mash and chocolate. Pretty neat.
