On tap at TapWerks OKC. Pours a clear copper with a small creamy white head with sticky lacing. The aroma is a floral hops and grapefruit. Thin mouthfeel with a hoppy bite and nice bitter finish. Hides the alcohol well making it easy to drink, a very good ESB from Tallgrass.

Black Hills Beer Fest - Muddy brown copper pour with a decent beige head. Lightly fruity and floral bitters aroma followed by a big bitter taste. Florals, citrus, and caramel. ** Re-rate 12/6/13: I’ve had this many times now and really find it to be quite refreshing. A fresh can yields heavy florals and citrus, good interaction with the malt base. A little more intense than what I’d call sessionable, but I really like having fresh pint cans available of what they’re labeling an imperial ESB. Solid stuff and its become my favorite Tallgrass brew.

Black Hills Beer Fest - Clear copper pour with a small sandy head. Mildly sweet nose with citrus and malt. Easy going IPA flavor is mostly a soft citrus and floral bitterness balanced out by caramel malts. Sessionable.

Black Hills Beer Fest - Dark brown pour with a finger of creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty with light cocoa notes. Tastes sweet and smooth, it has the creamy milk stout kinda thing going on, but not too much lacto... More focus on the roast, espresso, chocolate, and light bitters. Good.

Bottle. Pours a murky and dirty orange with very little head. Aromas have a lot of grain dust with just a hint of herbal/medicinal hops at first, but they intensify a bit late in the \"sniff.\" Flavor is heavily grainy... like a load of silo dust with some English style hops that start to balance things out a bit, but this falls far short of what an American would expect from an IPA brewed on this side of the Atlantic. The malt sits heavily and the medicinal flavoring from the hops doesn’t really punch very much as it heads into the aftertaste.
