Head brewer, Ian, has been churning out the good stuff for many a year. Born in 2012, Settle Brewery has been using traditional brewing methods coupled with working with local & seasonal ingredients to produce an arsenal of siba award-winning beers.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2016, [ Great British Beer Festival 2016 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Settle Blonde ].Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy and open, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white (silver) head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, biscuit malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, biscuit malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160810] 6-3-6-3-12

24/10/2018. Cask at the Murderers Arms, Norwich. Pours pale gold with minimal head. Aroma of hops, fruit, flowers, sweet malt. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, flat carbonation. Fruity finish.

York Beer Festival 2018. Deeper amber, hoppy and strong, but not much Belgian styling found.

Cask at Quakerhouse, Darlington. Pale golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and pale malt & grain aroma. Taste is pale malt, grainy, alittle biscuit with some fruity, citric, hop notes and slightly metallic bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, light bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

On cask at the White Cross, Lancaster. Appearance - opaque brown to black with red chinks. Nose - caramel, honeycomb and creamy milk chocolate. Taste - dry dark chocolate. Caramel and smoke at the back. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Balanced dry finish. Overall - good ale.

Cask at the GUild Ale House, Preston. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light malt, grassy hops, light floral note. Taste is more of the same. Light sweet finish.

Cask gravity at Kent and East Sussex Railway BF 2018. Clear amber colour lasting white head. Grapefruit gooseberry . Good condition. Like NZ sauvignon blanc. OK.

Cask-conditioned at the Ackhorne, York 19/4/2018. Near black in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Milk chocolate, some coffee beans, creamy edge, light toastiness and a gentle finish. Good.
