Cask at Victoria station, Wetherspoons, London before Christmas. An amber coloured pour with a medium off white head. Maltty aroma. Tastes malty, fruity, caramel, coriander. Quite unusual but fairly drinkable too.

Cask, handpull at The Swan & Castle, JDW, Oxford 08.01.11 Pours dark amber with a white head. There is a certain richness to this, it’s a little creamy and smooth, fruity with some vanilla. Not a bad beer at all, slight late bitterness, tasty. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

Warning! Early amateur rating! Draft at the Brew Wharf mini beer festival. Mild bitter, ie not that bitter. Plenty of malt and some subtle fruit. Not bad.

Pigs Ear. Very dark brown beer with a small suddy tan head. Light semi dry palate. Lightly roasted malt with touches of coffee and minerals. Trace of sweetness in the finish and a little hop peeps through. Not bad.

Cask gravity at Ashford Rugby Club BF 2010. Very pale gold, thin lasting white head. It’s a very decent blond. Pale malts are ok, not too soapy on the hop and decent lemon curd flavoured hop. Yep, very decent lemon finsih.

Half pint, hand pump cask ale at Standing Order (JDW). Hazy, orange coloured body. Spotty, head-lacing. Aroma of wheaty fruits. Unmistakable wheat beer flavour due to coriander part. Bready malts beneath and hints of sour wheat. Unvaried and far from great (Edinburgh, 29.11.2010).
