Blue Moon may go down as the beer that "started it all" for me. While it is in the "Belgian tradition," Blue Moon is made by Coors. And before I actually went to Belgium and knew what that tradition entailed, I thought Blue Moon was the best beer out there. I know better now. That being said, I think Blue Moon is one of the better beers widely available in the United States. A smooth beer that looks good and tastes great. Nice creamy head, orange tint, citrus flavor - an excellent way to start appreciating beers. But keep in mind: it’s only a start.

Draught Orangeish beer with a good, dense white head. Coriandersoup, even not citrussy, spicy. Rather sweet flavour, with nary any sourness, and just tons of coriander. Very slick MF - soupy, as said. Ouch. Even Hoegaarden is a relief, compared to this.

Mild DMS smell. Golden color, very thick head. Slightly sweet and flavorless. I think I’ve stumbled onto a bad bunch of spring beers.

Clear amber body with a large frothy off-white head. Wheat aroma with some light fruitiness. Light wheat flavor, some caramel hints, and a citrusy finish, somewhat grainy. Medium light body with fairly high carbonation.

12oz bottle. Cloudy golden-orange color. The aroma comes off a little adjuncty, but the flavor is pretty good. A nice fresh wheaty vanilla flavor with ample honey in there as well. Decent enough, an ok session beer.

I don’t think this is really any better than the standard stuff. Not an abbey dubbel that I recognize. Pours a coppery color with a smally, fizzy, tainted head which goes quickly, but leaves a small amout of lacing. Taste was more than forgettable. Dy and fizzy mouthfeel. Not great.

My friends enjoyed this, I did not. Small, fizzy, white head. Body is a sparkling, chill hazed yellow. Aroma of honey, wheat, and wet dog. Taste of sweet water, if I push myself I can find some cinnamon. Dry mouthfeel fizzy carbonation.

12 oz bottle; Nose of musty wheat with a lime hint , but no fruity esters at all; lightly hazed copper with a small beige head; the flavor has a little pepperiness, some light caramelly sweetness, light lime, and a bit of acetic tartness for a finish.

12 oz bottle; Well, I had a Greens Endeavour the other day and it was a gluten free Dubbel. If I had to drink Gluten free, I could survive on that. Nose of this is musty, without much fruit, malt or caramel; those three factors are present in miniscule notes; looks good, lightly hazed copper with a big straw head; flavor a bit better than the nose; lightly caramelly, with some fruitiness; better than the nose but not near as good as the Greenes! Not horrible, but not as good as a gluten-free???? And this is supposed to supplant and take market share from craft beers? Since you have your choice of the best ingrediants, show us better results than this!This tastes like a drinkable mediocre beer, but has little resemblance to an abbey dubbel!

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy to rocky light tan head that laces and copper/orange color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel, at first pour a hint of spice, some bready. Taste is medium malt-caramel, some bready, secondary earthy(English)/spicy hops. Light side of medium body. OK carbonation.
