Bottle at birreria volo. Pours a dark brown, with a medium beige head. This is by far one of thenmost complex aromas in a beer ive ever enjoyed. The sourness hits you hard up front. Notes of lactic sourness, and hints of vinegar. The blueberry is surprisingly present and up front, juicy, and sweet. The barrel is earthy, and adds a lovely semi sweet whiskey, and earthy barrelmwith light vanilla, and then there is a slight maple syrup aroma lingering innthe back. The mouth feel is full andnthe carb is quite effervescent. The finish is a perfect balance of sweet blueberry and earthy, woody barrel and bourbon, with maple soaked blueberry pancakes, and the sourness kicks you innthe throat! This is incredible sour, but what baffled my mind is all these things work together in incredible harmony. I can pick them all out, individially and they all work together. Wow!

Tap at cask days 2018. Dark brown pour, with a medium off white head. Aroma is woody, earthy, lots of barrel notes, and some tart berries. Mouth feel is full, carb is very active. Finish is tart, raspberry gets lost in the sweet cereals, and the earthy barrel. Light vinous notes, and a light sweet finish.

750ml corked and caged. Dark brown pour, basically black with the slightest of reddish hues coming through. Loads of dark fruit, some bitter cocoa, and a solid dose of funk! Barnyard aromas and some big lactic notes. Silky mouth feel, with a soft but still lively carb. Very tart finish, lambic funk notes lots of dark fruit, the barrel is subtle. Earthy, oaky notes, but the whisky is subtle. Light smoke, light roast. Incredibly complex, rounds out with some balsamic vinegar notes. This beer comes at you in waves. So much going on, alcohol is well hidden. A real sipping treat.

Can picked up from Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands and consumed at home Thursday 13th February 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music it's Round Table tonight. We're cooking Fish Goujons with Chips and Mushy Peas. Pours hazy yellow gold with a sticky white head. There's a fuzzy indistinct bitterness and yes it's a bit juicy, as expected it doesn't really know what it is and is clearly trying to appeal to two groups, however fails in my view. It's fine but tastes a bit thin, yeah it's hoppy but I just don't get it.
