(50 cl bottle as "Erdinger Weissbier Oktoberfest" at Bishops Arms, Västra Hamngatan, Göteborg) Slight shady pale golden color, big lasting white head. Estery banana, metallic and phenolic sweet taste. Sweet malty and estery scent. Medium to full mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Ein Durchschnittsweizen, nicht so gut wie das Dunkle, muss ich sagen. Schon die Flasche ist nicht so ansprechend gestaltet. Mann kann es schon trinken, aber es gibt weitaus bessere Weißbiere.

Dieses Bier ist wirklich ein Genuss. Schon wenn man die Flasche sieht, bekommt man Lust auf den Inhalt. Und das Bier enttäuscht nicht. Sieht klasse aus im Glas, hat ein super Aroma und der Nachgeschmack bleibt einem noch lange sehr positiv in Erinnerung. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Pours bright gold into a Weizen glass. Fluffy white micro head with excellent retention and slight top hat. No aromas. Crisp with little to no wheat qualities. Like the description says, would probably make a good summer beer -- filtered wheat lite.

0.5L bottle. Murky dark brown with some deep red streaks. mild roasty aroma with some yeast, some roasty aroma and some metalic notes, aftertaste is sour in an unpleastant way. Overall the beer feels diluted, very dissapointing.

Bottle (as Erdinger Octoberfest). After having a massive amount of other beers of similar style over the past two months, I’m not sure if I could differentiate this one from another one. It wasn’t bad at all, dark orange pour with a long thick head. Aroma was sweet, fruity. Flavor was slight spice and banana with a slight touch of lemon. Not bad in the least, which is always a positive. I could drink this again, but I don’t know if I’d buy it again.

Nicely balanced, moderately strong aroma of banana and lemon. Milky yellow color, very thick head, good retention. Wheat malt flavor with light hints of clove. Tinny and clean in the finish. Looked and smelled great, but tasted subpar for a wheat beer.

26/10 0.5 l bottle at Tolkiens House. It pours murky brown body with big fluffy head, going down relatively fast. Quite nice aroma, some wheat, fruity, other spices but also bock character, with caramel and coffee. Flavor was quite strange to me as this is my first Weizenbock, but interesting and surely not bad. Caramel but not sweet, some coffee. Still it happen to be quite watery and too carbonated, which is specially felt in the lack of some special finish. Fine beer although not that good.

Labled as Erdinger Oktoberfest Weissbier. Slightly hazy gold with a monumentous head and very active carbonation rising from the bottom of my glass. Light aroma. Yeast, fruits, malts, spice, and caramel. Pleasent, but I’d like it to be a little more intense. Smooth, nicely carbonated body. A caramel sweetness is first noticeable in the flavor with some spices and light earth tones. Finish is shalow and short. Falls into the "nothing wrong with it, but nothing memorable" category.
