Bottle as Erdinger Oktoberfest Weissbier. Hazy medium amber orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, yeast, light caramel / toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft to flat. A bit borring not a bock and not a weisse bier ! (071007)

Hazy orange yellow color, decent creamy off-white head. Light woody/papery aroma. Sweetish banana flavor, almost caramelly. Smooth carbonation. Medium-bodied. Fruity but dry aftertaste.

Cloudy gold with full white lasting head. Wheat & banana - light sweetness. Lively carbonation. Dry end. Very close to the regular Erdinger, a bit more muddy perhaps!

12 oz bottle; nose of banana and wheat, almost clear gold with a bubbly appearance and a small white head; flavor of wheat with some light banana, pretty average.

Marzipan, chocolate, and grass bouquet that actually works. Ridiculously thick tan head even with a careful pour. Mahogany color. Watery and metallic chocolate taste. Caramel finish with grass on the edge. Fairly unique and my rating reflects that. I could do without the metallic taste.

Bottled (as Oktoberfest Weissbier, thanks omhper!). Deep hazy golden colour, big creamy beige head. Aroma is wheat, hops and some malts. Flavour is malts, hops and wheat in a quite obscure mix. Very experimental, and drinkable.

Bottle: (Oktoberfest Weizen). As it pours into the glass (a cloudy amber color with a massive beige head) I find myself thinking about how much I enjoy the way that an Oktoberfest looks.. Then, as I investigate the aromas, I remember what a let-down so many of them are. Apple juice sweetness with a caramel sugar sweetness. Maybe some pear scents and a little banana if I’m being really generous and creative. Flavor is even less interesting: thin with a little malt presence, but mostly it is just reminscent of a fizzy apple juice with a bit of grian added in for good measure.

Pours much darker than the run of the mill hefeweizen with a muddy light brown color. Quickly ascending and descending head . Aroma has some banana and malts in it. Wheat prominent in the end of the beer. More malts than usual for a hefe. Mouthfeel could be a lot better.

0.33 l bottle. Did not drink it from the bottle to feel it better. Pours murky pale yellow body with medium short living head. Aroma of some fruity hops, quite nice. Flavor is sourish and sweetish, wheat is felt, but not too much ; relatively empty for a wheat beer. Lot of carbonation, probably for accenting flavor in palate. Long and pleasant finish. Not bad for sure, but not exceptional. Nice commercial meant to make it better, as I’ve expected.

Cloudy reddish brown appearance. A huge, bubbly tan head. Yeasty toasted malt aroma hints at something special. There is a sweet, wheat malt flavor upfront with hints of caramel and spice. Very smooth and flavorful. Not as strong as other German weizenbocks like Aventinus or Hacker - Pschorr. Good, none the less.
