Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Amber with a tight cream head; soft and full-bodied with lots of biscuity malts; the finish is dry and warming with a touch of sour fruit and caramel.

Sample at CBF12. Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. light bitter flavor. Average llight bitter finish. Oily palate. boring.

Brown 500ml bottle conditioned beer, best before late March 2009, drank mid-March 2008. Poured once, in a single pour, into a straight sided pint sleeve glass. A lovely terracotta colour, on top sat a light biege head which thinned very quickly. The body was clear with very little carbonisation, hardly a bubble rising up through the beer at all. Sweetish aroma, toffee and malted biscuits come to mind. The taste is very moreish, very drinkable. Very simular flavours to the aroma in fact. Well balanced beer and easy to drink. A long way from watery, but this isn’t a heavy viscous beer either, just a good one.

Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Golden ale with very moderate fruity hops in both aroma and flavour. Decent enough to drink, but there are many UK golden ales that are better.

Cask conditioned at Reading BF 2012. 5.2% deep amber colour. Tasty biscuit beer. Its a decent toffee bitter. Definite good bitter premium bitter decent pepper on finish
