Description
The Brewery was established by the De Coster-Depré family in 1897 and it was active till the eighties of the 20th century. Freddy Delvaux and the family gave a new lease of life to the old buildings of the Brewery in 2012. The new Brewery is the place where the Delvaux family can truly demonstrate their passion for special beers. Here, beers are cared for, invented, produced, consumed and promoted, and the Brewery is an unusual combination of science, the art of brewing, tourism and gastronomy.

At Kerstbierfestival 2015. Pours unclear amber/brown. Smell is slightly spiced. Taste is thin, spices, mildly sweet. Somewhat malty. Overall, this is too watery.

sampled @ “2de Bierproeffestival van De Dijleschuimers”. Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is sweet, bit fruity. Taste is sharp, bit bitter. Somewhat fruity. Light ’metallic’ aspects. Sharp carbo and OK MF

Clear amber colour, whit head. Malty aroma, hops, caramel, yeast, tropical fruits. Light bitter flavour, malts, yeast, somewhat stroef. Malty finish, some hops.

Bottle 250ml. @ [ PBF X ] Petalax Beer Festival 2015 by oh6gdx, Petalax, Finland. [ As De Kroon Super Kroon ].Clear medium orange - amber yellow color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, tart malt, earthy malt - hay - dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, earthy, dusty, sweet malt - yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150725]

Bottled at Pressklubben, Stockholm. Clear golden, mid sized head. Fruity pear/apple aroma. Sweet with medium body and medium-full body, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with sugar and ripe apples. Spicy mid bitter finish.

Bottled@PBF X. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some caramel and mild herbal notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, some toffeeish and mild grassy notes.

Many thanks for this beer to JefVerstraete. Piwo o sporej i ladnej piance. Zlocistym kolorze, aromacie cytrusowym, troche przypominalo saison. Smak karmel, wytrawny chmiel oraz w smaku jakby sucharki namoczone w herbacie. Smaczne piwo

Bottled at Petalax Beer Festival. Hazy pale amber, small head. Funky cobwebs, hay and apricots up front. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Dusty cobwebs, ripe peaches and hay. Mid bitter finish. Edgy, but with interesting flavours.
