Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque amber with a creamy and lacing beige head. Perfumy hop aroma atop quite some caramel. Rich body, loads of sweet caramel and toffee malts - and then again loads of oddly perfumy hops. Has a bitterness that really grows towards the end. 161113

Bottle from De Molen Beer Shop. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy off-white head. The aroma is boozy liqourice roasted malt. The flavour is strong bitter with a liqourice bitter palate. The bitter liqourice throughout this beer was rather unusual, slightly medical and I can’t say I enjoyed it. It really dominated. Full bodied with a light oily texture and soft carbonation.

Bottle at home 10th November 13. Pours an impressive dark liquid, little head, but some. Great, heady aroma, liquorice, tar, leather. From that very first taste you know this is great, massive flavour, perfect, low carbonation, smooth as silk on the palate, flavours are all there, sweet smooth, with the right amount of bourbon to complement the base beer. Excellent

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl. Hazy light amber with a white head. Aroma of fruits (citrus, melon, pineapple). Hopy taste but not too bitter. Good full taste considering its ABV. Nice beer.

A huge head and a pouring have to do as a multiple parts. A beer is orange and lively, a head is slightly soapy. The nose is tropical, mangos, fructose, lots of citrusfruits. Taste is quite strongly bitter, but also tropical and fruitfull with mangos. The bitterness is grapefruity and slightly piney. Medium bodied, high carbonation, but that works. Tastefull beer even the age is already at 1,5 years, what this beer would be as a new? Balanced bitterness and tropical fruits.

33 cl bottle @ home, on International Stout Day. Almost black color. Beige to light brown head, quickly receding. Aroma’s: bourbon, vanillevla, oak, with roasted malts, chocolate (-milk) and hints of red fruit retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, vanilla, bourbon. Alcohol feel is rather strong. Medium bodied, velvetty mouthfeel. Long finish, moderate bitter, bitter chocolate. Lovely stuff!

Retry after 7 years, and it was still great, very smooth. Lovely stuff again!

very dark colour, not too much, creamy beige head; aroma and taste is fully dominated by roasted coffe with some earthyness;this is definitely one of the most coffee-like beer I have ever tasted; not bad, but a bit one-dimensional...and, to be honest, I don’t really like coffee :-)

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl. Pours black with an enormous beige head that stays forever. Aroma is that of sweet coffee. Taste is almost exclusivly coffee. This smells and tastes as cold fizzy coffee which to me is a good and a bad thing. Yes, I like my beers with some coffee notes but the overpowering coffee taste The Daily Grind has is too much in my opinion. There’s not much else besides the coffee making it a bit one dimensional. Still, a remarkable beer.

330ml bottle. Minimally cloudy orangey dark golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Multifaceted hop aroma, floral, citrusy, herbal, minimally piney touch, cautious fruity hints of mango and grapefruit, a touch of dill, floral, yeasty overtones. Taste is dry, piney and herbal hoppy, cautious caramel malty basis, a minimally tart, tannic, chlorophyllic and chalky hop note reigns the finish. Slightly too raw.
