Bottle thanks to hopscotch. Pours with a small, foamy white head and a hazed orange body. Okay lacing. Aroma is husky with notes of cheap malt, vegetables, tobacco, pumpkin, sharp nutmeg and B.O. Taste is B.O. with nuts, vegetables, sharp spices, astringent nutmeg. Very grainy and husky. Bone dry mouthfeel and a bit fizzy. Not a fan.

Slightly hazy orange-brown body, coppery, thin to medium buff head. Spicy, citrusy, herbal nose with toast and light berry-like sweetness. Caramely and bready. Hints of licorice. Medicinal body, herbal and earthy, with brown sugar, caramel, and toast malt notes. Subtle rye. Too much like sugar water with hops for my tastes.

Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Bright copper color with a slight beige head. Aromas of spice and mild caramel. Medium body with frothy/creamy carbonation. Rather astringent. Spicey. Strongly spiced and so astringent it’s like bitter. Pumpkin is there, but spice rules.

Flat-looking. Orangey with no head. Lifeless body has some pumpkin quality. Light spice and some underlying sweetness. Did not do much for me at all.

Bottle. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Sweet malt aroma with some caramel and pumpkin pie spices. Malt and some vegetal flavors with backing spice and a bit of bitterness. Medium body. Lingering vegetal notes with bitterness and a bit of spice. Strange.

Bomber pours clear deep gold with wafer thin white head. The aroma is sort of sugar sweet prunes, black grapes and raisins to go along with faint malts with a hint of stale cardboard and even fainter spicy hops. The taste is much the same with an initial pulse of sweet dark fruity esters, some caramel and mildly roasty malts, some of the organic malty stale twang mixing in with light yet building noble hops. The fruity esters and mild caramel create a moment of barleywine style sensation. Above average offering from Bison.

Bomber pours deep copper with a bit of haze and off white head. The aroma has decent strength with citrus, near grassy hops mixed with stale wet cardboard maltiness, cherries and faint caramel. The taste is much the same starting with a pulse of hops and cherry cough syrup and mild stale maltiness. By midway the hops grow to become pine and grapefruit as a modest roasted malt note is noticed. It ends stale, mildly hoppy and with the hops lingering into the after taste.

Hazy reddish-brown. Deep rye and toast aroma is quite earthy. Big chewy rye character with chocolate accents and a moderate earthy bitterness. Overall sweet but balanced, a good rye brew.
