Description
Ridgeway Brewing was established in 2002 by master brewer Peter Scholey (former head brewer at Brakspear) and his wife Vanda. The name comes from the ancient trade route that winds its way through English countryside between small towns. It has been around for thousands of years, adapting with the changing times, The reason why we chose the name Ridgeway, apart from living on it, was that we hope to create lasting experiences, believe in the long term and love the outdoors.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours Light amber, fairly transparent, with moderate, very fine white foam. Aroma is earthy, a little soapy and malty, toffee. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is well balanced, with both medium sweetness and bitterness. Final is dry. Overall, easy to drink and quite enjoyable.

Bottle from South Downs Cellar, Haywards Heath. Aroma is nutty, gluey, malty. Dark gold. Foamy bubbly translucent white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Grainy. Spice. Quinine. A tad vinous. Earthy. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy. Long boozy finish. Warming but plodding. A poor man's Imperial. Hopefully gets changed to an Impy Red so it was worth it for the tick and liver damage:)

Brunsvart vätska med ett tunt lock skum. Aromer av mörkt bröd. Lite åt fruktkakahållet. I botten framträder även rå säd. Choklad framträder i smaken och överröstar då den råa säden. Värmande men med en bestående känsla av meh.
