Bottle (from Ales by Mail). Brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is caramel, mild roast, some citrus as wellas mild spiciness. Flavour is slightly acidic, some dark berries, dried fruits, roast andsome mild chocolate. The acidity is not that pleasant, but otherwise a nice brew.

330ml bottle, from the stash for advent. Pours opaque dark brown towards black with a smidge of a beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, cherry, dark chocolate, wood. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet, rich, cherry liqueur, chocolate, brown sugar, treacle. Thin to medium body with low carbonation. It's lasted OK, still decent flavours

Cask @ Tap House, Lancaster. Golden with a light copper glow and a head. Has strong tasting hops and a full-bodied texture, but is not overly flavoursome.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average to huge, thick, frothy to creamy, modertely lasting and lacing, beige head. Spicy and dark malty aroma, notes of ginger, hints of nutmeg and cinnamon, allspice, a touch of black pepper, clove, pimento, minimally nutty background. Taste is dry, minimally soapy, spicy and dark malty with a touch of liquorice, hints of ginger, a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon, cardamom, clove, allspice. Slightly unbalanced, un-integrated, minimally soapy. It's always a surprise how different the outcome can be, although a rather similar combination of spices is used in many Xmas beers.

Bottle split at Cotts Convention V, thanks for the shares, 08/06/19. Rich mahogany brown with a decent light tan head. Nose is earthy fruits, a touch of oxidisation, toffee, bourbon wash. Taste comprises ripe dark fruits, mellow bourbon, toffee, umami, earthy tones, brown sugars. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising boost. Decent … has held up pretty well.

Bottle from Tebay Services, shared with my bro. It pours hazy deep / dark mahogany brown with a small white head. The aroma is rich, sweet, toothy, toffee, sultana, fruit cake, figgy pudding, toased brown sugar, wood and leather. The taste is slick, oily, drying, toothy, umami, slightly oxidised, meaty malts, bitter - sweet, salty, burnt toast, toffee, brown bread, wood, tannin, leather and boozy warmth with a drying finish. Full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth feel. A big toothy beast of a beer. Has aged fairly well. Decent.
