Bottle split at CBC Islington, thanks to Paul, 29/11/17. Murky mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is soy sauce, brown breads, spice, toffee, rich malts, Taste comprises light smoke, toffee, biscuit, booze tunes, brown sugar, caramel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost. Ok for the age but needs drinking now and not one to hang onto any longer.

From a 33 cl bottle it is a clear very pale golden color with a thin head. The aroma faint malty and the taste is bitter with no distinguishable flavor just a lingering bitterness

From a 33 cl bottle. Pours a clear very pale gold with a thin off white head. Fruity aroma. Flavors are moderate bitter with a lingering bitter finish. Fairly thin body.

Cask handpull at The Montefiore Arms Ramsgate. Clear chestnut colour lasting beige head. Malty toffee aroma. Very hoppy finish. Lime flavour decent condition. Best bitter with modern hops. Ok.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny. Pours rich ruby-brown with a foamy, tan head. The aroma holds aged caramel, leathery berries, hints of butterscotch. Medium sweet flavour with meaty, well toasted malts, some oxidation, lightly tangy dried berries, dates. Medium to full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with further berry tang, some toasted caramel, earthy bitterness. Has aged OK.
