Keg tap at the Old Bicycle Shop, Cambridge. Golden, mostly clear with a film of white head. Aroma is low: some citrus and lemon cookie notes but certainly not all that engaging. Lovely taste: spicy with an extremely bitter character. The bitterness follows through to the long finish. Slick body, and the carbonation doesn’t completely take over. Kumquat peel in the aftertaste. Not the best Session IPA I’ve had but it’s good for a half.

330ml bottle from Morrisons. Pours a misty gold, small white head. Aroma of pale malts, citrus hop. Taste is predominantly quite malty, with distant citric echoes. Not Hardknott’s finest moment, but a pleasant evening beer all the same.

Cask @ Sparrow Bier Cafe, Bradford. Golden with a small head. Sugary, but its hops dominate its character with a hint of toffee.

A jumble of hops on the palate, but not really the burst that I was expecting from the blurb on the label. A pleasant enough beer, but it didn’t set my world on fire.

Bottle courtesy of dad I believe, consumed at home Wednesday 22nd March 2017, another non beer night when I naughtily drinking a beer. Clear, crystal clear gold in fact it looks very lager/pilsner like in appearance. Taste is ok, a little sourness at the edges, some tangy fruit skins. Citrussy aroma, it’s fine but not really that IPA’ish’. A6 A5 T6 P3 Ov12. 3.2
