330ml bottle. Black colour with late awakening, small, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Oaky and dark malty aroma with a tannic touch, hints of leather, cautious chocolately background, a touch of dark berries, bramble, blue grapes, balsamico. Fra fat på The Black Friar, London: klar gylden med flott skum som holder seg. Gress, furunål og bitterappelsin i en slank og elegant maltkropp. Frisk og lettdrikkelig med furunål og grapefrukt i avslutningen.

Bottle at home, 2nd March 17. Pours black, nice head, although slight, looks good. Aroma is floral, cocoa, some ash, chocolate. Taste is ash infused cocoa, bitter, citrus, burnt grapefruit, smoke, peat, tasty and enjoyable BIPA.

Bottle 330ml. [ As By The Horns Hercules Hold ].Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light light beige head. Aroma is moderate to hesvy malty, dark malt, sweet malt, caramel, dried fruit, raisin, alcohol - phenol. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, raisin, dried fruit. Cask-conditioned at the Red Lion & Pineapple (JDW), Acton 30/1/2017. Hazy gold in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Aroma of grainy malts, spice and lemon fruit. Flavour had a yeasty edge, with orange peel and sharp lemons and a hint of banana, before an easy, vaguely tart, finish. Refreshing.

Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dusty, wood, damp stain - fusty - basement, light to moderate hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity hops, damp stain - fusty, dark malt, wood, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
