Pour is a dark red with almsot no head. Aroma is weird but good. Lots of fruityness with some sugar and i guess fig but i’m not sure what fig smells like. Flavor is a bit of dark fruit but over the top sweet. A different beer but a bit to sweet for me. This would be a good one to share as it is very thick and sweet.

Bottle shared by cdumler. Thanks! Orange pour with a small head. Hoppy aroma dominated by pomegranate. Multidimensional taste was caramel... pomegrate... caramel. Pomegranate is a little much. Full bodied.

Bomber from the Coop in Davis, CA. A great, or at least very good, place to seek beer. Pomegranate color. Sort of a beige smear for head. Medium dark fruit aromas - might be ripe fig. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Starts sweet and fruity (fig newton?). Lightly bitter. This is a weird combo which I have no recollection of tasting before. A little thin for the high ABV. Still, different is good. I can imagine coffee in here. Can you take seriously a brewer who never brews? Who always comes up with new strange stuff? Well, we better, cause no one else is coming up with crazy brews like these folks. Finish is damn near cola. Dry it’s not, but it has me believing it’s balanced. And the commercial blurb challenges the guys at Lagunitas for silly verbosity. I’m looking forward to the next release.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a small light tan head. Rich figgy aroma with caramel and spice. Figgy/plum/caramel flavor with some spice. Medium-plus body. Lingering caramel, fig, light spice. Lots of fig fruit in this one.

Clear mahogan beer, with a fast-fading head - syrupy sweet nose, with strong fruity character, fig, raisin, prune, rum - really bright and fruity flavor, with some warming alcohol and spicy character - the fig is quite strong and natural, which is a welcome change, as the flavors in their beers usually come across as artificial - some strong brown sugar sweetness, cherry and dates - a fairly decent beer for these folks.

Served on tap. Somehow, it seemed that the fig flavor was more present in the bottle. Pours reddish-amber, with a present enjoyable fig taste and a little malt.

Bomber pours crystal clear amber with tan head. The aroma starts initially with sweet malts, a touch of roastiness and sweet ripe cherries before the fig notes quickly surface and overtake the nose. Then I get hints of that classic HeBrew pomegranate fruitiness with faint tartness way in the back. The flavor unfolds in very much the same way the nose did with an initial pulse of sweet malts, sweet ripe cherries mixed with malt roastiness. Then the fig notes join the fun followed by pomegranate juice fruitiness and tartness that seem to go along with just a bit of drying malt astringency at the finish.

Clear cherry body with a small creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel, fruit, light hopping. Very sweet fruit and caramel, almost sugary. Medium full body with moderately low carbonation and a very smooth slightly syrupy finish.

On tap at Mr. Dunderbak’s in Temple Terrace, FL. They really bring in the good stuff.

Poured up in a nice Gulden Draak tulip glass. It has a hazy orange-ish brown-ish body, off white head and cobweb lacing. The aroma is fairly big with wood booze notes of whiskey, some oak, rotten tangelo sourness and some faint malts and hops from the base beer. I think the mixing of sharp tart un-ripe grapefruit and boozy wiskey creates a rotting citrus note to the whole experience. The taste begins like the nose with boozy – whiskey infused with mild oak notes. Rotting grapefruit citrus then wells up just after and peaks about midway where pine hop bitterness begins to make an appearance to interrupt the tart to sour un-ripe grapefruit. Some malt sweetness pokes out briefly before the finish. It ends with booze and sour grapefruit juice and a faint oak note going deep into the after taste. Very cool experience but nothing I’d prefer to drink too often.

Reddish-orange colour with a little bit of haze and a light head. Big fresh whole grain aroma with a big splash of pomegranate, plus herbal and chocolatey nuances. Soft body bears lush malts, an evenhanded bitterness, herbal hops, whole grain bagels and again a distinct but understated pomegranate accent. The crystal malt chewiness builds on the palate, however, and this tends to become overwhelming before the glass is half done.
